My guide to booking me as your wedding musician, what’s included and how to choose your wedding music.

  • How much do you charge?

To hire me as your wedding musician won’t break the bank! The cost does depend on a few factors including location and total performance time to name a few. As a rough guide my prices start at £325 for a ceremony performance and £475 as a package deal for ceremony and drinks reception performance.

Please get in touch with all your details if you would like me to give you a quote based on your requirements. I have a more detailed price guide available here.

  • What is included?

All PA equipment needed, travel costs and learning up to 2 special requests which aren’t on my song list are included in the price. Any further song requests are charged at a rate of £15 each, subject to being able to obtain a commercially produced backing track and/or sheet music if required.

  • How long do you play for?

This is dependent on what your timings are and what the event requires! For a ceremony performance I suggest up to 5 or 6 songs. For a drinks reception 90 minutes of music (to include a small break) is usually a good amount. For an evening reception I would recommend 2 x 45 minute sets. However; I like to accommodate my client’s needs however they envisage the music for their day, so these are just a starting point to work alongside your ideas.

  • Do you have public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment?

Absolutely! You should only use musicians who have the required certificates, most venues will require a copie of these from your suppliers. I am a member of the Musician’s Union which gives me access to Public Liability cover up to the sum of £10 million and my equipment is PAT tested annually. I also have a DBS certificate which is registered as part of the update service as part of my teaching requirements.

  • What events do you perform at?

Weddings, Hen parties, corporate functions, birthday parties, restaurant background music, private functions, holiday park live act entertainment, New Years Eve parties…. Almost any event or celebration!

  • How much space do you require?

As I am a one woman act I only need a small area close to a power supply for my PA system. If performing alongside a live DJ, I can usually plug my saxophone microphone into their mixing desk and perform on your dance floor or a stage as required.

  • My favourite tune is not on your playlist, will you be able to play it?

I’m sure I can! I really enjoy learning new requests so please do ask. To date I’ve never had a request I couldn’t fulfil, although admittedly some songs can be trickier than others. However, I can work closely with you and offer different options along the way if necessary.

  • We don't know how to pick the songs for our wedding music, can you help?

Of course! I supply a song list which is usually a good basis for discovering music you may like to have included as part of your day. I’m more than happy to arrange a meeting (online or in person) to help bring your music tastes and song choices together to help form your special day. Have a read of my blog posts for general advice on choosing wedding music here.

  • Do you perform with backing tracks? Can you work with other musicians?

I usually perform to backing tracks to give the music a fuller sound, but I can play acapella if you would like a more stripped back ‘live lounge’ style performance for sax. As I have been a wedding musician for many years, I have made great connections with other professional musicians who I can work alongside if you are looking for something a little different. This includes guitarists, pianists and DJ’s. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas! Also, I’m also absolutely not offended if you like the saxophone but don’t want me to sing or vice versa. It’s your day and you should have the music as you like it.

  • How do I book?

If you’d like to book me for your wedding or event please contact me with details of your event date, location and a rough idea of performance times, plus any other important information about your event. I will send out a quote and discuss any ideas and options you may have. When you are happy to accept the booking I will email across a booking form to complete via Signable and a £50 deposit is required as a booking fee to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event date.
